South Sudan seeks technological expertise from ZTBL

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State and Chairman Board of investment, Republic of South Sudan, John Joseph Kulang here on Wednesday visited Zarai Taraqiati Bank limited (ZTBL) to explore venues and possible opportunities to get the expertise and consultancy in the area of agricultural technologies from the bank.

A statement issued by ZTBL said that Advisor on Business Development, Afzal Sharif briefed the delegation about expertise available with the bank and technical assistance which could be made available to South Sudan in the filed of agriculture development.

Joseph Kulang informed that Republic of South Sudan is the youngest nation in the world and came into being in 2011 after the division of Sudan into two countries by the United Nations.

Since South Sudan is in its infancy stages and need to help form the world for the development of institutions in almost all walks of life for development of the people.

He said that the purpose of his visit to ZTBL was to explore areas of interest and utilize the services offered by the bank for the development of agriculture sector.

He informed that he was on a fact finding mission in Pakistan and visiting various organizations and departments both in the public and private sector to find out areas of mutual cooperation.

He said that Government of South Sudan will sent another mission for looking into all possible areas of mutual cooperation, technical assistance and consultancy needs for the Republic of South Sudan.
