Culture Dept made excellent effort to preserve Sindh heritage: Ms Sassui

HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Culture Ms Sassui Palijo has said that marvellous and exemplary works were performed by her Ministry to preserve and protect the archaeological sites of Sindh and promote literature, art and culture during the last five years of PPP government.

She termed the steps taken by PPP government for decentralisation of archaeological sites as a great achievement and added that in this way it has not only contributed to protect the history but also cultural assets of each province.

The Minister was addressing the ceremonies arranged to inaugurate the Culture Centres at Mithi and Bhalwa, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Cultural Complex, Mithi and inauguration of Amar Jagdesh Kumar Mallani auditorium at Mithi on Friday.

Sassui Palijo said that her department has also patronised the writers, poets, artists, vocalists and also established an endowment fund for their welfare. She said that though her department has done a marvellous job for the promotion of literature still there is a vast space to work as Sindh was very rich in this regard.
