PESHAWAR: Faisal Kairm Kundi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly, said on Monday the government was working on a mega project for installation of tube-wells in the country to boost agriculture sector in rural areas besides providing clean drinking water to people.
Talking to PPL- Karachi general manager, Majid Khan, Kundi said first phase of the survey for installation of tube-wells in different areas of DI Khan has been completed and work on second phase will start soon.
These schemes would help bring prosperity and will increase overall wheat and vegetable production.
The Deputy Speaker said a large number of arid and semi arid land of DI 'Khan would be irrigated.
The installation of tube-wells in DI Khan district will soon start, he added.
The General Manager assured to complete these projects before the schedule time.
