  • Chairman Sindh Tajir Ittehad Atiq Mir, has said that the issue of Karachi traders has been made political.

Traders have announced to open business 24 hours from today (Monday) onwards after talks failed between Sindh government and traders.

After the talks between the Sindh government and the traders failed, the traders of Karachi said that they would open their businesses and do business as long as they wanted.

Chairman Sindh Tajir Ittehad Atiq Mir has said that the issue of Karachi traders has been made political. The traders have assured the authorities that they will implement the SOP, but the government should also cooperate.

On the other hand, the government of Sindh has also responded that the markets will not be allowed to open, with provincial minister Saeed Ghani saying that they are evaluating the situation and talks are ongoing.

Business leader Rizwan Irfan has said that shops open at 11 am, therefore the timing should be changed.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has assured the Karachi traders that the matter was under consideration and they were considering opening shopping malls.
