On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, I wish to express my profound greetings to the Imperial Family and the people of Japan on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the Emperor's Birthday. Under the able and accomplished guidance of His Majesty, Japan continues to progress along with commitment to strengthen civilizational harmony and peace.
Pakistan and Japan are longstanding friends. With absolutely no historical baggage between the two countries, the people of Pakistan have always carried a deep sentiment of warmth and affection for Japan and the Japanese people and the two have stood by each other in times of need. Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 1952, Japan has immensely contributed towards developmental progress of Pakistan. Japanese socio-economic and infrastructure projects in Pakistan have surely contributed very significantly towards improvement in the quality of life of Pakistani citizens. We earnestly desire to further strengthen this legacy. Pakistan and Japan also share their sincere commitment to regional and International peace and tranquility. Japan has always appreciated Pakistan's concrete and meaningful endevours to promote peace. Pakistan firmly believes that our common adherence to the ideals of peace, democracy, freedom and rule of law and shared commitment to promoting peace and security and expanding and deepening bilateral trade, investment and development cooperation provides a strong basis for a comprehensive, sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership between Pakistan and Japan.
As Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan it will be my endeavour to further strengthen relations between our two friendly countries through trade, technology transfer, human resource development, art, academia, tourism, people to people exchanges and many other fields.
I earnestly wish Their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress and the Imperial Family everlasting happiness, health, long life and peace, prosperity and progress for the people of Japan.
