Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair on Thursday a Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad to discuss a 12-point agenda.

The meeting will discuss overall political and economic situation of the country. The cabinet will also take up issues related to price hikes, inflation, gas pricing and electric power bills, local media reported. The adviser to PM on finance & revenue will give a detailed presentation on regulatory duties and taxes on pulses in view of rising prices of essential food items.

The cabinet may also discuss the mysterious escape of former spokesman for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Ehsanullah Ehsan from the custody of security agencies. Last week, the opposition raised the issue of Ehsan’s escape in the National Assembly and Senate and sought a response from the government.
