Export of leather garments rises by 12 percent

Pakistan's export of leather garments posted an increase of 12 percent to $150.551 million during July-Dec 2019-20, official figures indicate. Rise in leather garments export comes to the tune of $16.015 million in July-Dec 2019-20 from $134.536 million in July-Dec 2018-19, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics says.
In term of quantity, leather garments export also went up by 12.07 percent or 63000 dozens to 585,000 dozens in July-Dec 2019-20 from 522,000 dozens in July-Dec 2018-19.
Leather garments grew by 5.38 percent or $1.27 million to 24.890 million in Dec 2019 from $23.620 million in Dec 2018. Down by 10.26 percent or 12000 dozens, leather garments reduced to 105,000 dozens in Dec 2019 from 117,000 dozens in Dec 2018.
