Pakistan conducts successful flight test of Air Launched Cruise Missile 'Ra’ad-II'

Pakistan has conducted the successful flight test of Air Launched Cruise Missile 'Ra’ad-II'.

According to a press release by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the flight test was witnessed by Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Dr. Nabeel Hayat Malik, Chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission, senior officers from Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces and Strategic Organizations.

Ra’ad-II, with a range of 600 Km, significantly enhances air delivered strategic standoff capability on land and at sea. "The weapon system is equipped with state of the art guidance and navigation systems ensuring engagement of targets with high precision," the ISPR statement said.

The Director General Strategic Plans Division termed it 'a major step towards complementing Pakistan’s deterrence capability'. He also appreciated the technical prowess and commitment of scientists engineers who contributed to the development of the weapon.

President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs also congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful conduct of missile test.
