Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq has said that Pakistan is confronted with more serious problems such as Kashmir and the inflation, than 'hanging of former president General Pervez Musharraf (retd) in the high treason case'.

Addressing a rally in solidarity with Kashmiri people, the JI chief lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan for allegedly 'mishandling' the issue of Kashmir and also demanded him to quit 'if he cannot lead the nation at this high time'.

He regretted that meetings of Corps Commander Conferences ended up without mention of the issue of Kashmir. "After every Corps Commander Conference, I used to see as to what they [commanders] have discussed about Kashmir, but every time I found nothing about Kashmir", he said, adding that the Prime Minister has also not convened a single meeting of the political leadership on Kashmir.

"Issues supposed to be decided by the political government are being addressed by the establishment", adding: "if all the jobs are done by the establishment then what is the government for [in the power]'?, he asked.

According to him, the issue of Pakistan is not to hang former president General Pervez Musharraf (retd) but the major problem of the country is Kashmir and the sky-rocketing inflation.

"The issue of Pervez Musharraf is an old tale; we have other major problems including the issue of Kashmir and inflation. Unfortunately, all the political leadership and all the institutions are pursing their agendas of their own vested interests instead of resolving the problems faced by the people", he further maintained. "I am unable to understand as to what our government is doing to counter the Modi's fascist agenda. Our Prime Minister instead of coming more practically warned Pakistani people against going towards the LoC and stated that those marching towards the LoC in solidarity with the Kashmiri people are enemies of Pakistan", he added.

"If you cannot lead the nation in this testing times, you need to quit and Pakistan is full of those leaders who can protect the motherland and get Kashmir free from the illegal occupation of India", he asked Prime Minister Imran Khan and the crowd responded with slogan of "Go Imran Go" and "Modi Ka Jo Yar Hai, Ghadar Hai Ghadar Hai".

He further maintained that Prime Minister Imran Khan did nothing for Kashmir other than a speech at the UN General Assembly. He said that the Prime Minister tried to make US President Donald Trump as mediator on Kashmir, but President Trump sided with Modi. "Today, US, India and Israel have made an alliance, which is threatening the Muslim Ummah", he said.

"I don't want to say that they [rules] have sold Kashmir to India or made any secret deal, but let me made it clear if got to know that [if] they have made any deal on Kashmir, they will not be able to come out from their homes", he threatened.

He also responded to the government's claim that 'Pakistan will fight for Kashmir till the last soldier and the last bullet', he said that the people are questioning that leave alone a 'last soldier and the last bullet' "you have not taken a single step since then". "Now people are questioning your policy on Kashmir and every government's step has become doubtful", he added.

He expressed the fear that there is threat to the country's integrity and underscored the need for national unity instead of creating divisions. "Pakistan is a nuclear power and the entire Muslim world is watching towards Pakistan. But a 'group' has been imposed on the nation which is incompetent enough that all the institutions have become redundant, ruined the economy, sabotaged the national harmony, gave rise to corruption and poor is becoming poorer in its tenure", he maintained.

He lamented that the incumbent PTI government has made a 'joke' of issues of a serious nature such as giving extension to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. "This was because of the incompetence of this government that this issue has become a joke", he added.

"If we lost Kashmir, we will find a single drop of water in the rivers coming from across the border", he said, adding that India is threatening to stop the waters of Pakistan. He further criticized the government, saying: "the failed PTI government in its 15 months, have taken 115 'u-turns'.

The JI chief further said that no power of the world can separate Kashmiris from Pakistan. He said that situations in Kashmir have become worst of all the times since August 5, 2019 when Modi government decided the illegal annexation of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that 18000 Kashmir youth have been detained in various Indian jails while 14000 women have been rapped, adding that Modi has converted Srinagar into Guantanamo Bay detention camp.

He lashed out at those 'sitting in the parliament', saying that the JI had raised voice in both the houses of the parliament. "But those sitting in the parliament are deaf and dumb who are silent over the plight of Kashmiris due to their vested interests", he maintained.

He said that Modi was behind the killing of 2000 Muslims in Gujarat and now 8 million Kashmiri people are under sever restrictions and curfew since August 5, 2019. He said that Kashmir is undecided agenda of the partition of India and without Kashmir Pakistan is incomplete.

The JI chief said that the decision to take the illegal steps of August 5 was not a spontaneous rather Modi had included it in the BJP's manifesto. "Ironically, despite all these things, our Prime Minister was misconceived when he wished that if Modi wins the disputes between Pakistan and India will be resolved through dialogue", he further maintained, adding that Modi is fulfilling his promises made before the elections including the construction Hindu Temple on the demolished place of Babri Mosque.

The JI chief maintained that there is no solution to the Kashmir dispute and the only way out is waging jihad to get the Kashmiri people out of the illegal Indian occupation. "I want to tell the government and announcing the jihad is responsibility of the government of the day", he said, adding that practical steps needed to be taken to remove the fence installed on the LoC during Musharraf's era. He also demanded that an international fund should be raised for Kashmiri people on humanitarian grounds.
