Pakistan's exports during July-October 2019 witnessed a growth of 3.81 percent against the same period of 2018, said Pakistan Bureau of Statistic (PBS) Thursday.

According to PBS, during July-October 2019, Pakistan exported various goods and services of $7.547 billion against July-October 2018's exports of $7.27 billion, reflecting an increase in the country's exports.

The country's imports over the period witnessed a decline of 19.21 percent from $18.966 billion during July-October 2018 to $15.323 billion in July-October 2019. While country's trade deficit over the period witnessed a decline of 33.52 percent from $11.696 billion in July-October 2018 to $7.776 billion.

According to export and import figures released here, the country's exports in October against September 2019 reached $ 2.024 billion mark from $1.769 billion showing an increase of 14.41 percent. Similarly country's imports over the period were recorded at $4.074 billion from $3.785 billion, which reflect a growth of 7.64 percent on month on month (MoM) basis.

According to PBS, the country's trade deficit on MoM basis increased by 1.69 percent as it reached $2.05 billion in October 2019 from $2.016 billion in September 2019.

On year on year (YoY) basis, from October 2018 to October 2019, the country' exports witnessed a growth of 6.75 percent from $1.896 billion to $2.024 billion while imports from October 2018 to October 2019 witnessed a decline of 15.1 percent and decreased from $4.8 billion to $4.074 billion. Over the year, the country's balance of trade improved by 29.43 percent from $2.9 billion to $2.05 billion.

During October 2018 to October 2019 Pakistani rupee vale against US dollar witnessed a decline of 19.78 percent from 1$=Rs 130.383 to 1$=Rs 155.95.
