Foreign Office on Thursday categorically stated that no deal will be made on convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav and all actions will be taken in line with the country's laws while implementing the July 17, 2019 verdict of International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal told his weekly media briefing that the decision of the ICJ will be honored in light of laws of Pakistan and there should be no doubt in this regard.
"All actions will be in line with the laws of Pakistan. The ambiguity created unnecessarily was already cleared by the DG ISPR with his statement...There is no question of any deal regarding Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav", the spokesperson stated in categorical terms.
The DG ISPR on Wednesday rejected the news reports as speculations about any amendment in Pakistan Army Act to implement the ICJ verdict.
"Speculations for amendment in the Pak Army Act to implement ICJ verdict regarding convicted Indian terrorist Cdr Kulbushan Jadhav are incorrect. Various legal options for review and reconsideration of the case are being considered. Final status shall be shared in due course of time", Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet.
Asked to explain the 'process of review and reconsideration' regarding Jadhav he had stated during the previous briefing last week, Dr Faisal stated: "Yes, I said that the process of review and reconsider was about to start. We will update you soon".
To a question about the Indian Supreme Court's verdict in Babri Mosque case, he said that the decision of Indian apex court has utterly failed to uphold the demand of justice. "This is a very serious issue. We will continue to highlight this at every possible forum", he said, adding that the demolition of Babri Masjid is a condemnable and reprehensible incident. He said that the Babri Masjid was attacked and dismantled in 1992 that existed for almost four and half centuries.
Responding to another query about the concerns that Jammu and Kashmir dispute has apparently gone to the background, he stated that he does not agree that the dispute has gone to background, "rather we have been consistently and proactively highlighting the Kashmir cause with more vigor at all relevant forums."
"Our principled position is that the dispute of Jammu & Kashmir should be resolved as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Any other action has nothing to do with Jammu & Kashmir. We have been saying this again and again that India has put itself into a corner by taking unilateral and unlawful actions. It now does not find a way out of it", he added.
About the ceasefire violations at Line of Control (LoC), he said that Pakistan has always responded befittingly to Indian unprovoked firing and shelling and 'we will continue to do so'. "We are always ready and alert to defend our motherland at all cost", he stated in categorical terms.
With regard to Kartarpur Corridor, he said that the government of Pakistan has taken the decision to open Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in the light of longstanding demand of Sikh community from across the world, especially from India. "We expect that India would appreciate our gesture, which is taken in the spirit to promote peace and harmony in the region", he added.
On the inauguration day, he said that approximately 12,000 Yatrees were present, including 5,000 Indian pilgrims who came through Wagah and about 5,000 from across the world.
He said that there were about 700 pilgrims, who came through Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. According to the agreement, he added that 5,000 pilgrims can visit the Gurdwara of Baba Guru Nanak any day. "Let me reiterate, that we want to implement the Agreement in letter and spirit. Moreover, the Agreement is very clear. No one can go from our side to India using the corridor", he added.
Responding to another query, he said that a high-level delegation visited Kabul and held meetings with senior officials of the Afghan side and discussed the recent bilateral developments.
"There was agreement to enhance mutual coordination and take steps to move forward. It was also agreed to hold Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS) in Kabul in December 2019", he said, adding that the exact dates will be communicated later.
About any update regarding inquiry of videos that Hareem Shah shot in Foreign Office, he said that the facts have been ascertained and all necessary measures have been taken to prevent occurrence of any such incident in the future.
