Donald Trump has accepted Imran Khan's invitation to visit Pakistan: FM Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced on Tuesday that United States President Donald Trump has accepted Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan's invitation to visit Pakistan.
Addressing a news conference in Washington, the foreign minister said that delegation level talks were held between the two countries. The foreign minister said that it was a good development that the US president had accepted the invitation of the PM to visit Pakistan.
He further said that the US president said that the States is going to have a very good relationship with Pakistan. Qureshi added that Trump demonstrated joint resolve to promote peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan. The US president has also expressed his readiness to play a 'facilitating role' in resolving the Kashmir issue, he added.
Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant-General Faiz Hameed,Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Special Advisor to PM on Finance Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor for Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari attended the delegation level talks.
