Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi met on Monday Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office, where they discussed public welfare projects.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Faisal Javed along with Naeem-ul-Haq were also present during the meeting. The premier and the former cricketer discussed public welfare projects including the Ehsas Program and Panahgahs.

Afridi told the prime minister that the private sector is showing a lot of interest in public welfare projects, local media reported. He also added that the private sector is eager for playing a proactive role in the construction of Panagahs.

Appreciating the interest of the private sectors, the prime minister maintained that the government will encourage and facilitate the private sector to become part of public welfare projects.
