Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will depart for Saudi Arabia on May 30 to attend the 14th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) being held in the country.

PM will attend the 14th summit on May 31 in Makkah. The premier will focus on raising the Kashmir issue, solidarity and unity of the Ummah and support for Muslim causes, local media reported.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is already in the kingdom for the meeting. This summit provides a valuable platform for OIC members to exchange views and deliberate on a range of political, economic and security issues of Islamic countries.

Saudi King Salman bin Mohammad has invited 57 members of the OIC to attend the summit, which marks its 50th anniversary this year. During the two-day meeting, key issues facing the Muslim world, including 'strengthening unity among Muslim states amid rising tensions in the Arabian Gulf' will be discussed.
