CHARSADDA: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has intensified crackdown against power pilferers and disconnected power supply to seven villages in sub division Tangi Charsadda for not paying dues and stealing electricity.
The PESCO team disconnected power supply to villages include Karimu Kalay, Head Piran Munshi Kalay, Zareen Kalay, Kalam Darray and Kanday Koruna.They also imposed fine on two persons on the spot and disconnected supply line for using power illegally.
SDO PESCO Mutloob Ali Khan said that during the crackdown as many as 85 percent direct connections were removed. No one would be allowed to take law into his own hands, he added.
He said that electricity was national asset and the crackdown against power defaulters and pilferers would continue indiscriminately.
