ISLAMABAD: The Senate would resume its session at the parliament House in Islamabad at 2:00pm on Monday.

The House will transact private business.

According to the 26 point schedule‚ six bills would be presented in the House including, The Anti-Money Laundering (Amendment) Bill, 2019; The Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2019; The Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2019;The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019; The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2019] (Substitution of Article 84 and The Federal Legal Aid Bill, 2019.

The House will also discuss certain motions including the need to introduce reforms in the criminal justice system, increasing infant mortality rate, current position of country’s economy, expediting construction of small and medium dams and the House will also discuss plantation of ten billion trees.

The House will discuss resolutions including Government should allocate separate quota for the students of ICT in the public sector medical and dental colleges in the country; to shift the headquarters of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) from Lahore to Islamabad, to take steps to end loadshedding, to take steps to measure the performance of Pakistan mission abroad, to prohibit the use of Islamophobia, to extend PM scholarship programme to Balochistan for next five years.

The House is also expected to discuss important national issues including law and order situation in the country and drought crisis in Tharparker.
