ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned hearing of the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) petition challenging the bail of Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad till May 15.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and comprising Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel heard the case filed by NAB against the Lahore High Court verdict.

During the course of proceedings, Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that NAB should submit a list of all the people named in corruption cases and specify the roles played by them.

Former attorney-general Ashtar Ausaf Ali appeared on behalf of Shehbaz Sharif while Azam Nazir Tarar represented Fawad Hassan Fawad in the case.

The counsels for Shahbaz Sharif and Fawad Hassan Fawad pleaded the court to adjourn the hearing and grant them some time because they wanted to submit some additional documents along with power of attorney and their documents.

Advocate Naeem Bukhari, counsel for the NAB, opposed adjournment of then case , saying NAB had submitted additional documents.

Justice Azmat Saeed asked the Naeem Bukhari that he would have to work hard to get the bail cancelled.

On February 14, the Lahore High Court granted bail to Shehbaz in the three NAB cases of Ashiana Iqbal, Saaf Pani Company and Ramzan Sugar Mills.
