PR to continue cooperation with defence institutions: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday inaugurated the facility for supplying oil to Pakistan Air Force through Pakistan Railways.

Vice Chief of Air Staff Aasim Zaheer, senior official of Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Railways were present on the occasion and the ceremony was held at Mushaf Air Base Sargodha, a press release issued by Ministry of Railways said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the contract for supplying oil to Pakistan Air Force by Pakistan Railways was restored after ten years and first special train of oil had reached Sargodha Air Base.

Sheikh Rashid said that Pakistan Railways was important defence line of the country and the department would continue cooperation with all the defence institutions.

The minister said that a strong air force was the guarantee for the country's defence and Pakistan Air Force had played important role to defeat the enemy.

After the inauguration, the minister visited the airbase and inspected the JF-17 Thunder and wrote his comments in the Visitors' Book.
