MEPCO imposes Rs1.1m fine on 42 power pilferers

MULTAN: A task force of Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) imposed Rs. 1.1 million fine on 42 power pilferers during a crackdown across 13 districts of the region here on Tuesday.

According to MEPCO sources, the authority teams, along with the district administration and police, carried out an operation against power pilferers and caught 42 for stealing 69,000 units of electricity.

The MEPCO task force also got registered FIRs against three power pilferers with the police stations concerned, sources added.
