CPEIC providing best healthcare facilities to masses: Fakhar Imam

MULTAN: Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam said on Monday that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Institute of Cardiology (CPEIC) was providing best healthcare facilities to heart patients.
During his visit to CPEIC here, Syed Fakhar Imam said that specialist doctors, medicines and best laboratories were available in the institute to provide best medical facilities to masses.
He urged the doctors to get feedback from patients and continue quality of medical facilities.
The chairman was briefed that there were five operation theatres in the hospital where facilities of surgeries were being provided to the people of Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sindh and Balochistan.
He was informed that there was capacity of 279 beds in the hospital including 208 extension and 59 for emergency ward.
The hospital administration told the chairman that 400 patients were being examined in the emergency while 1200 patients were being examined in the OPD, however, medicines were being provided to 1500 patients on daily basis. Doctors are conducting eight surgeries daily including of kids while angiography was being made of 70 to 80 patients daily.
Chairman Kashmir Committee Syed Fakhar Imam praised the doctors and other staff members for their efforts in provision of best health facilities to masses. He asked administration to resolve public complaints as soon as possible and ensure quality treatment at the institute.
On this occasion, Executive Director CPEIC Dr Rana Altaf, Medical Suprintendent Dr Zahid Akhtar, Director Technical Dr Farhan and others were also present.
