ISLAMABAD: Minister of state for parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Monday assured the common people that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was taking fiscal steps to control the impact of soaring inflation and would not disappoint the nation.

While talking to a private TV news channel, he said the present government was aware that rising prices was an urgent problem, our economic managers know what is causing it, and the appropriate steps were being taken to address it on priority basis.

He said the leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) were responsible for the current economic crisis and price hike in the country.

However, the PTI government was making efforts to strengthen country’s economy and difficult decisions were being taken for the purpose.

Appreciating Asad Umar’s performance, Ali Muhammad said he being a finance minister did his job well.

Minister said that improving the living standard of people and economy was the mission of PTI democratically elected government.

He said that “We are well aware about the problems of common people and we are committed to address it on our priorities".

Replying to a  question, he said the govt aimed at to overcome the shortcomings in the state institutions by introducing financial reforms.

He further said opposition parties should avoid criticizing government and take it seriously with showing more responsibility for country’s interests.

Ali Muhammad said that the PTI govt only could keep the country on the right track of development and would win next general elections on the basis of performance.

He added that the prime minister Imran Khan played major role for bringing mega projects in the country.

The minister said that the leadership of PTI believed in practical steps for developing the country and never believed in hollow slogans.

Replying another question, minister said the govt would strictly monitor market across the country to control prices of commodities during the holy month of Ramadan.
