ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi Friday said accountability process would continue till its logical end as Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had received a heavy mandate on the name of accountability.

Talking to a private news channel, he said under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government was taking very bold initiatives to eliminate the menace of corruption.

Responding a question, he said, "Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) came into politics through legacy of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto but Prime Minister Imran Khan struggled for 22 years to come into the power".

He further said the PPP could not arrest the culprits of Benazir Bhutto during its government adding rather to accept their own failure, they were demanding it from the PTI.

To a question, he said, "Bilawal should focus on the worsening situation of Sindh as the masses of province were living a miserable life despite criticizing the government.

The people of Sindh were facing a number of problems including health and water, he added.

Replying to a query regarding Nawaz Sharif's plea for the treatment abroad, he said Nawaz had decided to be hospitalized abroad for medical treatment.

"Opposition parties were using different tactics to divert attention of the masses from the reality and playing filthy politics to hide their corruption", he said.
