Govt keen in early completion of Islamabad Metro bus project: Murad

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Communications Murad Saeed Thursday said the government was taking keen interest in early completion of the Islamabad Metro bus project and the expected completion date for electrical and mechanical work of the project was June 30.

Responding to a question of MNA Sher Akbar Khan in the National Assembly  during Question Hour, the minister said some delays had occurred due to late  quarterly release of funds for Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP),  adding package one, two, three and four of metro bus project were substantially completed.

He said continuous monitoring of the project was being ensured at senior level. Review meetings were being held even in the Prime Minister’s Office and all  possible steps were being taken by the government for early completion of the  project, he added.
