KARACHI: The funeral prayers of 14 people, who were killed in a road accident in Balochistan's Mastung area were offered in Karachi’s Muhammad Goth located at superhighway on Wednesday.

The funeral was attended by several political personalities including Sindh’s local government minister Saeed Ghani and a large number of people.

Earlier, the 14 people including two women, two children were killed in a collision between a passenger van and truck on National Highway near Ghanja Dhori area of Mastung district.

The passenger van carrying passengers was going to Quetta from Karachi when it hit a truck coming from the opposite direction due to over speeding.

As a result, eleven people including women and children died on the spot while 18 others were wounded. The victims were said to have belonged to the same family travelling to Quetta for attending a marriage ceremony.
