Clean, green highways provide friendly environment

KARACHI: Federal Secretary for Communications Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has said that clean & green Motorways and National Highways provide friendly environment to the travelers.

"Clean & Green Pakistan" drive initiated by the Government is a noble cause and we are to move forward hand in hand to make it a success, he said this while talking on the occasion of planting tree in the Service Area at Karachi - Hyderabad Motorway (M-9) on Tuesday.

National Highway Authority's Member (South-Zone) Sindh, Shabbir Ali Shah, DIG Motorways Police (South Zone) Saleem Ahmad Khan and other senior officers were also present.

Emphasizing upon the afforestation drive Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui recalled lasting relation between human beings and trees. Lush Green Pakistan will not only provide pleasant environment to the people but trees also guard against calamities occurring due to climate change. Hence, he said, planting more and more trees is a national requirement.

The Ministry of Communications and its attached departments are making practical advancement to realize the vision of Clean and Green Pakistan, given by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
