Three peddlers held, 52 kg charas, opium seized
KHANEWAL: Police claimed to have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 52 kilogramme charas and opium from their possession.
The peddlers used to transport charas and opium by ambulance, said District Police Officer Muhammad Masoom while talking to journalists here on Tuesday.
He said on a tip-off, a police team intercepted an ambulance in the limits of Chubkalan police station and recovered 52 kg charas and opium from it.
The team also arrested three outlaws namely Gulab Khan son of Bahawal Khan, Khairul Bashir and Rasfia Bibi wife of Ghareeb Khan, all residents of Swabi district (KPK).
The woman was introduced as a patient by the outlaws, whenever the ambulance was checked at check-posts, he informed.
The DPO has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
