ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration will set up four Sasta Bazaars in the federal capital for provision of inexpensive food items to citizens during the month of Ramadan.
Sasta bazaar will be set up at PWD Colony, Tarnol, Tarlai and sector G-6 which would be functional from first of Ramadan.
The bazaars would be set up in cooperation with wholesale dealers of fruit and vegetables, flour mills associations, Pakistan poultry association, Dal Ghee mills associations and meat sellers associations, a source in ICT administration said.
Stalls of different food commodities would be set up there while fruit and vegetables would be available at cheaper rates. The prices of various edibles would be notified while price magistrates would constitute teams to conduct raids and check hoarding and profiteering.
The source said a special whats’ app number (0335-9950236) would be active from first of Ramadan to address complaints about price hikes.
