ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has finalised a time-frame for efficient running of its academic programmes to provide best possible services to its around 1.4 million students across the country.
Annual calendar has been prepared for the purpose to conduct admissions and examination timely, besides delivering other necessary services.
This was stated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum while inaugurating books’ delivery process for spring 2019 semester, a press release received here said on Tuesday.
The mechanism would help address certain complaints regarding the services and enhance the varsity’s credibility and good image among the students, he added.
By following the calendar, the students would get sufficient time for academic pursuits and submitting their assignments.
The VC hoped that the University’s workforce would work with devotion and commitment to serve the students and achieve the target of quality education set by the incumbent government.
He assured the AIOU’s staffers that they would be provided best possible working environment to do their job with equanimity.
He appreciated the staff of Mailing Departing for timely starting of books delivery for the recent semester. The books would be dispatched to more than 0.7 million students within next couple of months.
The inaugural ceremony was attended among others by Director Admissions Syed Ziaul Hasnain and Incharge Mailing Dr. Amjad Ali.
