ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shehzad Akbar on Monday said that a plan was underway to establish an Anti-Corruption Unit in the Federal Investigation Agency.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that the main objective of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was to eliminate corruption from the society. He said that the people had voted PTI only for the accountability of corrupts. PTI government believed in the autonomy of the institutions so that they could work without any political interference, he added.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he said, had raided the residence of Shehbaz Sharif to arrest Hamza shehbaz.

The Shehbaz Sharif family had setup their business with the money transferred into their accounts from abroad, he said.

He further told that around 26 million dollar had been transferred into the Sharif family accounts from abroad.

Sharif family had totally failed to provide their money trail, he added.
