Fawad Chaudhry refutes rumors of PM removing Asad Umar from finance ministry
Information Minister refuted on Monday the news that Prime Minister Imran Khan had decided to replace and remove some ministers including Finance Minister Asad Umar from his cabinet.
The information minister took to his Twitter account and wrote that changing ministers is Prime Minister Imran Khan's discretionary right. "There is no truth to reports circulating regarding changes in the cabinet," Chaudhry further said.

Earlier, the Central Head of Public Relations of Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf Azhar Laghari had also dismissed the rumors and wrote that there has been no decision of changing the portfolios of ministers. "It’s an incorrect and fabricated news," Laghari wrote.

Rumors had surfaced earlier that PM Khan had decided to replace five ministers from his federal cabinet including the Ministry of Finance. According to rumors, Umar and Shehreyar Afridi the portfolios had been removed.
