PESHAWAR: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday announced the schedule of District Nazim election Haripur to be held on February 26, 2019.

The district Nazim Haripur seat was vacated after the successful vote of no confidence against the ex Nazim Adil Islam.

According to the ECP schedule for district Nazim Haripur elections, candidates can submit their nomination papers on February 26, District Election Commissioner would perform the duty of Returning officer.

After submission of nomination papers, scrutiny of the papers would held at the same time and then the voting for the election of the district Nazim would be conducted.

On January 14 district council, Haripur disqualified the ex-Nazim Adil Islam through the vote of no confidence and then unanimously elected interim Nazim Raja Nasi Kiani through the show of hand.
