ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday permitted Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to issue notification regarding victory of candidate in NA-91 Sargodha re-polling.

Justice Aamer Farooq of IHC conducted hearing of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)'s candidate Zulifqar Bhatti, challenging ECP's decision for re-polling in 20 polling stations of NA-91.

During hearing, the bench remarked that the petitioner was not authorized to approach two forums simultaneously for relief.

The IHC couldn't decide the case as the same matter was pending before the Supreme Court, it added.

The IHC permitted ECP to issue notification regarding the re-polling results and disposed of the petition.?Reuters
