Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with his father Asif Ali Zardari at Adiala Jail on Tuesday.
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Sardar Latif Khosa and Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar were also present on this occasion.
After the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's spokesman Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said that despite court orders, Zardari had not been provided with adequate facilities and hurdles were deliberately created whenever anyone visits him.
He said that no matter the obstacles, PPP would never be silenced as it would always speak up for the rights of the people. He said the former president was being held in solitary confinement. He said PTI government was oppressing the opposition leaders; however, the PPP would remain firm.
He said Bilawal had given the PTI government a deadline till December as it had proved itself to be incompetent. Khokhar said that a consultation meeting regarding the sit-in and protest would be held toady (Wednesday).
He said PPP's core committee would discuss the proposed sit-in of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He said PPP meeting would be held at Zardari House Islamabad at 7:00pm. He said the government had failed in every sector.
He said there were speculations in Islamabad regarding the national government; however, time would prove how authentic those were.
He said the economy had been ruined and unemployment was rising, adding Pakistan needed serious leadership at the moment. "If the government's tenure goes further, it will be harmful to the country," he said.
On this occasion, Sardar Latif Khosa, Asif Ali Zardari's lawyer, said, "The court gives us a bundle of cases daily and lawyers meet Zardari for consultation for these cases. Even today, we talked to the former president about filing a bail application, but the former president said there is no need of hurry in this regard."
He added that Zardari says let the government do whatever it wants.
Khosa said there was not a single case that was directly linked with Zardari.
The former president remained in NAB's custody for 68 days but nothing came out, he added.
