The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested on Wednesday Punjab's Minister for local government and community development, Abdul Aleem Khan.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader has been taken into custody by NAB pertaining to a case of owing assets beyond his known sources of income, local media reported. Following his arrest, the PTI leader tendered his resignation.
The bureau will present the PTI leader tomorrow (Thursday).
He had appeared before an accountability court today for the case proceedings. NAB had found that Khan owned offshore properties in UAE and UK. The PTI minister was unable to satisfy the bureau when it inquired him about the money trail for his assets.
