The government of Pakistan is committed to providing moral, diplomatic and political support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir as per the United Nations (UN) resolutions, which acknowledge Kashmiris' right to self-determination.

She was speaking at an event held here on the occasion of 16th death anniversary of former president of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan. Remembering the services of Sardar Ibrahim for the Kashmir cause, she said that Kashmiris have being suffering due to state terrorism of Indian forces. She condemned the indiscriminate firing by India on the Line of Control (LoC). She said that the international organizations should take notice of the human rights violations in Indian-held Kashmir.
Addressing the ceremony the speakers including Speaker AJ&K Assembly and others paid rich tributes to Sardar Ibrahim in acknowledgement of his lifetime services for the Kashmir cause. Paying rich tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader for his services for strengthening and uplifting the Kashmir Freedom Movement and the development and progress of all sections of the society in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the speakers said that best way to pay rich tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader was to renew the pledge on this day to continue the mission of great leaders like late Sardar Ibrahim who rendered meritorious services to raise the Kashmir cause.
The speakers called for early settlement of the Kashmir issue entirely in line with the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. They demanded on this occasion that the Kashmir issue should be settled in line with the recognized UN resolutions, which clearly speak of the early grant of the birth right to self-determination to the people of Jammu Kashmir. The speakers declared that India cannot win hearts of the people of Jammu & Kashmir despite initiating various measures and taking different political somersaults to muster the sympathies of Kashmiris.
The speakers said that late Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan rendered great sacrifices for the cause of Kashmiris, struggled for liberation of the motherland from the Indian yoke. They said that best way to pay tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader is to follow his footsteps for the achievement of the destination he set for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is liberation of the homeland from the illegal and forcible clutches of India. They said that it is the result of the sacrifices of over 100,000 Kashmiri martyrs that Kashmir emerged as the flash point and the freedom-loving and civilized world community is pressing for early peaceful settlement of Kashmir problem.
