The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday constituted a Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Cell to ensure effective and timely completion of FATF related Action Plan. According to a notification issued by Revenue Division/FBR, the FATF Cell is placed under the Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad. The FATF Cell will serve as focal point for all activities related to Customs compliance with the FATF issues.
The FATF Cell may seek information required for FATF-related work from the Board, field formations, directorates and record of meetings. The heads of field formations/ directorates are requested to create enabling environment for this unit considering its sensitive nature. Five officers are transferred to FATF Cell/Directorate of CBCM and they are relieved from their duties to report at new places of postings with immediate effect and till further orders.
Director Abdul Waheed Marwat (PCS/BS-20) has been transferred from Directorate of Cross Border Currency Movement to Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad. He will also look after the charge of FATF Cell, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR Islamabad in addition to his own duties.
Muhammad Asif (PCS/BS-19) has been transferred on repatriation from National Highway Authority, Ministry of Communication, and posted as additional director FATF Cell, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad.
Deputy Collector Wajid Zaman (PCS/BS-18) has been transferred from Model Customs Collectorate, Islamabad, and posted as deputy director FATF Cell, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad.
Superintendent Zahoor Ahmed Mughal (BS-16) has been transferred from Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad and posted as Superintendent FATF Cell, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad.
Intelligence Officer Sajid Mehboob (BS-16) has been transferred from Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Rawalpindi, and posted as intelligence officer FATF Cell, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad.
The officers including Muhammad Asif, Wajid Zaman, Zahoor Ahmed Mughal and Sajid Mehboob will also look after the respective charges of the Directorate of CBCM in addition to their own duties with immediate effect and till further orders.
The officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting. All above listed officers are requested to relinquish/assume charge, using online HRMS facility made available to FBR or by using their IJP logins.
