Senator Moula Bux Chandio of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has said that there is no relation of party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari with undocumented / benami properties. He expressed these views during a press conference here on Wednesday along with Nazir Dhoki and Capt. Wasif Syed (retd). "Our opponents should avoid media trial of our party leaders and approach the courts if they have any proof," he said.
He categorically denied that Zardari has benami properties. He said that the government has miserably failed in all fronts and just to hide its failure is busy in blame game against PPP leadership. "The government is doing injustices to provinces but the magic which has imposed this inept Prime Minister on Pakistani people is diminishing fast," he said.
Answering a question, the PPP leader said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is using delaying tactics in calling the session of the Senate due to no-confidence motion against the Senate chairman submitted by the opposition. He said that the PTI government is delaying the session for using bargaining chip to get support of the opposition members. He claimed that the Senate chairman would be elected from the opposition.
About the protest of the traders, he said, "I saw such a protest for the first time and Blue Area in Islamabad saw this kind of closure for the first time." He said that the government has failed to fulfill all commitments made before the elections. He said that former president Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are haunting the government. He claimed that the government is using the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to achieve its goals.
He said that now Uzair Baloch is being "resurrected," adding when he (Baloch) was arrested, his family was not told in this regard. He said that inflation is increasing day by day due to imposition of taxes on petroleum products, gas and other incommodities.
Senator Moula Bux Chandio claimed that the Prime Minister is going to stay in Pakistani embassy during his US visit in the garb of austerity but the fact is that he is wanted in the US. He said that even a child knows why he is going to stay at the Pakistani embassy because he is wanted by the US authorities. He said that Zardari visited foreign countries and every trip and its expenses were legal. "This government is a government of liars which only knows to blame opposition and use abusive language. People are not fools and will speak up when the time comes," he said. He said this government did not give any relief to people and people will rise against this government soon. He said that the government has employed liars and all its spokespersons excel in lies. He claimed that the entire country and people from every profession will soon be on the roads against this puppet government like the traders and businessmen recently closed down their businesses protesting against government policies. He alleged that all the corrupt are in the government and have filled all important positions. He said that prices of petrol, electricity and gas have been increased manifold.
He said that the language of ministers and advisors is abusive and the PPP can also respond in kind but its leaders have trained them to be decent all the times. He said that Imran Khan used to demand resignation of the railway minister after any accident but now even after over seventy accidents his railway minister has not resigned. The movement against government will slowly gather momentum and then the government will have to go, he concluded.
