Strongly reacting to the house arrest of MPA Faryal Talpur by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday termed it another example of political victimisation. "Those who make cases against females are coward. I want the masses to differentiate between former president Pervez Musharraf's tenure and today's new Pakistan. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) govt is using NAB for political engineering and victimization of opponents. Interior Minister Ijaz Shah is using old tactics of Pervez Musharraf regime," PPP chairman expressed these views while addressing a news conference after the house arrest of his aunt Faryal Talpur.
The PPP chairman said current 'puppet' govt is no match for them as PPP have fought against the likes of Pervez Musharraf, Zia-ul-Haq and Ayub Khan. This is just the government of cowards, he said. He said the country has been governed by such cowards who do not even respect the women. He told the government that even they also have mothers, sisters and daughters in family and their government is not going to last forever.
Bilawal said even the PTI government knows that they do not have majority in parliament and it is just trying to hide their economic failure by making political arrests. The reason for these arrests is to distract the masses from 'economic terrorism'. He said Asif Ali Zardari was arrested to divert the attention of people at a time when the government was going to present budget.
The PPP leader said, "It is IMF dictated budget which will prove to be an economic suicide." Answering to a question, Bilawal said PPP leader and he will personally approach other opposition parties to block Finance Bill 2019-20 in National Assembly. He said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and independent members of National Assembly will be answerable to the nation if they helped government in passing the budget. The PPP chairman said, "The government is using various tactics to pressure the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)."
