Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met Omani Minister of Royal Office, General Sultan bin Mohammed al-Naamani, in Muscat on Wednesday.

The foreign minister arrived on Tuesday and was welcomed by Oman's Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah. Qureshi is on a two-day visit to Oman and will also represent Pakistan in the meeting of Pak-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission.

During his meeting with the general, Qureshi said Pakistan and Oman enjoy historical brotherly relations, local media reported. The two countries discussed bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
