A meeting of the federal cabinet convened today (Tuesday) may consider proposed tax amnesty scheme, although it has not been included in the agenda of the meeting. On Sunday last, Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh chaired a meeting on the proposed tax amnesty scheme and directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to fine-tune the scheme to make it simple to understand and easy to implement.
