The Federal Cabinet on Tuesday is likely to give approval for notification of DG (I&I-IRS) Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as prosecuting and investigating agency under Anti Money Laundering Act (AML) 2010 while it will be briefed by the Finance Minister on the understanding reached with Malaysia on cooperation in trade and economy.
Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the federal cabinet wherein he will take his cabinet team into confidence on Malaysian Prime Minister's visit. The federal cabinet will take up 20 points agenda including consideration of draft national Aviation Policy and reconstitution of Board of Investment Board (BOI) with the objective to accelerate reforms to foreign direct attract investment in the country.
The meeting will also consider a proposal of Statistics Division for reappointment of two members of the Governing Council of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) summary for appointment of Auditors for financial year ending on June 30, 2019.
The federal cabinet may also approve issuance of official Passport on payment of prescribed fee in relaxation of rules/policy as well as approval of vertical expansion of housing in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and ratification of the Decisions Taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet in its meeting held on 12-03-2019 and ratification of the Decisions Taken by the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE) of the Cabinet in its Meeting held on 13-03-2019,
Cabinet Division proposals for re-constitution of the Board of Karachi Infrastructure Development Company Limited (KIDCL) as well as irregular recruitments made in Pakistan Cabinet, Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) from 2010-11 to 2012-13 and creation of posts for Assets Recovery Unit (ARU) will also be taken up.
The meeting will also consider and may approve rules/policy for monetization of transport facility for Civil Servants (BS-20 to BS-22) and constitution of the Board of Administrators of the Commerce Export Development Fund (EDF).
The federal cabinet will also consider extension of agreement of Lahore-Delhi Bus Communications Service (LOBS), appointment of members, Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), approval of the federal government for reissuance of SRO 611(1)/2016 with Immediate effect notifying DG (I&I-IRS) FBR as Prosecuting and investigating Agency under Section 2(J) of the Anti Money Laundering Act (AML) Act, 2010 and appointment of two members on Board of Information trustees, Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Technology & Trust (PTET).
The federal cabinet will also take up proposal for appointment of Judge, banking Court, Islamabad (Mr. Wajld All) and re-constitution of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Religious Affairs Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC).
