ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed Tuesday said process had been started for the looters of the country to bear the brunt of their deeds stressing that all the robbers and thieves have been brought to book.

After visiting and paying his respect at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his 143nd birthday anniversary he said, unfortunately in past thieves remained watchmen of the country.

Talking to media the Minister said, those who stole money from the pockets of the entire nation were being billed gentry.

He predicted that the “remaining thieves” would go to jail before March 30, adding that Pakistan People Party (PPP) leaders, including former opposition leader Khursheed Shah would be held in near future.

Replying to a query, he said Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari may bear the brunt of his father’s politics.

Responding to another question about decision of the accountability court in Al-Azizia reference, he said that he was jailed for seven years in a weapons case, but Nawaz Sharif was handed mere seven years in jail despite that he had looted the entire nation’s wealth.

Those who have plundered the country’s wealth would meet a sticky end, he added.
