KARACHI: By-elections were held on Sunday for 24 local bodies' seats in six districts of Karachi.

A total 183 candidates were in the run for the seats which had fallen vacant due to either death, disqualification of candidates or because of some candidates joined assemblies in the general elections.

The polling had ended and the counting of votes was underway.
