Peshawar got first, Abbottabad second while Lakki Marwat stood at third position in the recovery of arms and ammunition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, said a comparative statement issued here Monday. In recovery of narcotics, District Mansehra got 1st, Peshawar 2nd and Nowshera 3rd position.
In the seizure of Proclaimed Offenders, Peshawar got 1st, Mardan 2nd and Charsadda 3rd position. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had showed better performance against arms, narcotics and proclaimed offenders during the 1st quarter of the current year.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have rounded off 5622 proclaimed offenders during the 1st quarter of the current year while, in the previous year, 4468 POs were arrested which is 1154 more than the previous year. In narcotics, during previous year 3931 kg charas while this year 5424 kg charas recovered which is 1494 kg more than the previous year.
Similarly, during previous year 32 kg opium while 175 kg opium was recovered during this year which is 143 kg more than the previous year. Last year, 99 kg heroin while current year 193 kg Heroin was recovered which is 95 kg more than the previous year. Last year 0.550 gm ICE was recovered while recovery in ICE was 6.596 kg this year which is 6.046 kg in excess.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had recovered 8657 arms during previous year while 9654 arms recovered during current year which is 997 more than the previous year. Last year 187976 while this year 397117 ammunition were recovered, which is 209141 more in number than the preceding year.
