Chinese Construction giant Nanjong Sanjian Construction Co Ltd will construct low cost and energy efficient units at a suitable place preferable near the motorways. The offer was conveyed by a representative delegation to Special Assistant to Chief Minister Dr Amjid Ali and Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority Saifur Rahman Usmani in meeting Thursday.
While Special Assistant to the Chief Minister and DG Housing Authority briefed the delegation in detail about the opportunities of investment in the Province, the need of housing units, the investment environment particularly the need for energy efficient housing units. The members of the delegation informed them about their capabilities and leadership qualities in technology. They also informed that the houses were not only low costs, but durable and energy efficient.
After detailed discussion it was decided that Chinese Company will immediately construct their demonstration units in a suitable place preferably near the motorways. The company would later enter into an agreement either to execute the project through a joint venture or independently to take up the construction of such houses and provide it to the people of the province on affordable prices. Under the agreement the company will open a permanent office in the province.
