Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the federal government is aware of problems of media persons and has already taken measures to resolve them. Talking to office-bearers of Chitral Press Club in Islamabad, the minister said that the journalists rendered great sacrifices for strengthening the supremacy of democracy in the country. They also rendered great sacrifices in the war against terror, she added.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government is working over matters regarding protection of journalists and efforts have been made for their security as well as welfare. The minister said the media played a key role in highlighting local issues, adding that the journalists should highlight and propagate positive image of the country.
