The president of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Tariq Malik, has said that unemployment is one of the greatest challenge faced by the nation. There is only way of facilitating business and creating investment opportunities and starting new ventures.
He urged the government to focus on small and medium enterprise (SMEs) and promote entrepreneurship for economic growth. He said that developed economies promoted small industry and the concept of entrepreneurship to deal with their economic challenges and boost investment.
He praised Prime Minster Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's initiative to take the business community on board for preparation of a strategic trade policy framework. He said that for a more effective economic policy SMEs and entrepreneurship should be prioritized.
