On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,110. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.15 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,377.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.03 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.85 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 893.16 million, silver PKR 344.77 million, copper PKR 21.71 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.54 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 24,280 lot of red chilli amounting to PKR 4.24 million were also traded.
