Algeria bought 475,000 tonnes wheat in tender

Algeria's state grains agency OAIC bought 475,000 tonnes of optional-origin milling wheat in a tender on Wednesday, paying between $198 and $202 a tonne, cost and freight included, European traders said on Thursday. Traders had earlier cited the same price range while saying that the volume was unclear.
Algeria does not publish details of its grain tenders and results reported by traders are estimates. The wheat purchased was for the March shipment period indicated in the tender announcement, traders said, noting that the volume was in line with Algeria's typical monthly import needs. The wheat was expected to be sourced from several countries including Argentina and certain European Union states.igins.
