Patron-in-chief of Doctor Khan Tehreek (Dr Khan Movement), Abid Muneer has demanded Pashtu as medium of instruction in schools instead of Urdu or aliens language English.
"Pakhtoon nation had been rendered matchless sacrifices during the historical independence movement in the sub-continent and they should be given due right of Pashtu as medium of instruction in the schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, Abid Munir said while speaking in a seminar here at press club.
He said that none of the nation of the world could get a distinctive position unless they got their basic education in their mother tongue.
The Movement chief also said that though Urdu is our national language but even then the country's superior competitive exam CSS is being taking in English, while the science, technology and medical education is also being given in English, which proves that the nation has yet to take independence from the British clutches.
He demanded of the PTI chief Imran Khan to meet the long lasted demand of Pakhtoons by introducing Pashtu as medium of instruction in the government run schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
